About Montessori of Central Marin
What we're about
Established in 1974, Montessori School of Central Marin has been serving the children of central Marin for over 52 years, providing a rich and welcoming environment where children can explore at their own pace. We combine hands-on discovery with guided instruction, catering the learning experience to each individual child's needs and interests.
There are many opportunities to become more deeply involved in the school. Shared cultural traditions and experiences in the wider community help children connect with the world around them, and families are always welcome and encouraged to share their stories in the classroom as it connects with the curriculum.
Our Mission
Our mission is to nurture each child's natural curiosity and help them grow into a confident, independent learner.
Our Philosophy
Children have a natural desire to explore and understand their world. We support that desire with a welcoming environment, meaningful activities, and guidance that responds to each child's development. Teachers and families work together to give children the care, encouragement, and room they need to grow.
